I don't think SCSO is on the trunk system as of yet. I'm listening to SCSO South on 159.210 and East on 159.165

The "patch" between 159.210 and TG 1648 was in place because SNOPAC was still dispatching for Mukilteo PD. Mukilteo PD has traditionally been dispatched on the SCSO South frequency. When Mukilteo decided to go ahead and get onto the 800mhz system, they required the patch in order to continue being dispatched on SCSO South - and, to be heard by the deputies on VHF Conventional.

Now that Mukilteo PD is being dispatched by SNOCOM, the patch was not as necessary. So, it was removed.

So they were removed from the 800 side of things because Muk went to Snocom...I think I understand...it's just backwards from what normally happens. SCSO just doesn't have 800 equipment yet then right? Back to monitoring them on just VHF?

Correct . Snohomish County SO will be going over to 800mhz when the Phase II portion of the system is built & on the air. That could be another year or so.

For now, it's back to conventional non-repeated VHF.

It was rather nice being able to hear the deputies via the trunking system. However, I know the SERS guys were getting concerned about the channel loading on Phase 1, so taking down the SCSO South patch helped to bring those loading numbers down - and to give Phase I more capacity for their newly acquired user agencies.
