I am hearing this frequency as a repeater, loud and clear from Victoria. Its fire operations in Snohomish County somewhere... Is this a new repeater or something as I have never heard these comms on this frequency before |

If there is 127.3 hz on that signal, it's a Snohomish County frequency. That frequency was used for SNOCOM Fire 2, and I believe SNOCOM currently has it patched onto TG 5456 (Fire TAC-22). It should only be used for large responses, so normally there is not much traffic on it. (BTW, SNOCOM dispatches all of SW Snohomish County - Lynnwood, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Woodway, Brier. SNOPAC dispatches the rest of the county). So, in that way it probably does sound like a repeater. They're all transitioned over to 800mhz, so everything coming out onto VHF is originating from the 800mhz system. It could also be something in Pierce or Thurston County - I believe it's also used down there for Fire Ground stuff. Brad/N7JGX Whidbey Island, WA |

Yeah it was the 127.3 tone. I assumed it was a simulcast of the 800mhz system, just havent heard anything on it till today... but Im sure it will disappear in the near future |

It sounds that way because you're hearing a cross-band repeater, echoing the 800 MHz traffic for anyone still on VHF. Flash |

Did you hear any units numbers on that channel. It would help pinpoint where it came from. Nick |
