Spent a lot of time on the road today, both business (following dumb people who do dumber things), and personal. Here's what I gleaned (to be added to the database shortly):

451.650 (DPL 723) Tacoma Mall security

462.325 (DPL 464) Tacoma Mall maintenance

465.2625 (179.9) DSHS Tacoma Office (1949 South State St) Security (contracted and PCSD)

151.595 (DPL 315) Multicare Hospital (TG?) Security

450.6875 (141.3) Metro Traffic planes/helos/remote broadcasts (old, but reconfirmed)

155.400 (67.0) Western State Hospital, Lakewood- security

464.500 (DPL 047) Sparks Stadium (Puyallup) Security for games

Add 451.5375, Greenwood Communications, LTR LCN 01. Status burst comes very often compared to other LTR systems I've heard.

Idle message has traditionally been spaced on LTR systems at 10 seconds. However there is nothing wrong with increasing / decreasing time between idle messages, or even eliminating it in some cases.

Passport traditionally spaces at 3 seconds, as much more info is being sent, however I know of a few Passport systems that leave it on continuously. It is not wise to increase spacing of Passport idle message, again due to the amount of info (and rotation of info) being sent.

I counted it at about 8, but it could be 10.

Not Weyerhaeuser, per our discussion.

Ive spaced mine out to the maximum allowable by the controllers to avoid interference to other licensed users of the frequencies I use...

I believe its 5 or 10 minutes...

My users never have problems getting a channel so I have to assume these bursts are not really that important on a single site system... I did talk with the manufacture of the controllers years ago when we did this but forget what they said.

Passport systems use it to tell the radio its still in an area so I can see the reason for it there...

Is Greenwood a Passport system? I've never actually heard any traffic on the system.

I believe Olympic Radio has a few licenses that are no longer or never were used.

If you are able to decode any LTR anything (LCN, area bit etc...) then no, not Passport.

Listen to old Microsoft UHF channels, you will hear Passport idle messages around there, they have gone all Passport.

I think Wa State Ferries are on 151.040 as far as I know.

I've heard them on both...There's a list floating around somewhere that has them in it, along with the Marine channels.

Doesn't WSDOT also use that freq for crossband operations in the passes?

The crossband patch has been hit and miss. I used to hear them on 156.120 but not lately.
