So why can't they put the CC for the tunnels for KC into the SPD radios? They all run off the same smart zone, right?

a Spudgunman exclusive!

boo on Jim Forman, and his official "police talk" what is that lame jacket he is wearing with a fake badge on it? sorry if you read this Jim but your about everything I hate about media people. I wondered how to spell your name correctly and googled it found this.."Forman was one of the last to abandon his post during the savage firestorm in Central Washington" puke... risk your own life for ratings, too bad you couldn't get someone committing a crime in this dead zone. I would have much preferred Jesse Jones un-bunk this one he would have pointed at something that was broken not shown us a "police radio" and slide deck of how a repeater works. ha.

I also am sickened by the girl crying at the end.. oh poor me.. I will sue the state and county for 1 million in damages. F***!

sounds like from the report that its not an issue with any trunking technology its just a dead-spot. so KC and SPD have no radio, they mentioned that there is no cell service either. so its just a dead spot. an antenna would need to me moved or placed to allow for coverage.

it would have been nice if they showed that dead spot so we could all go there and stand like cattle and say... oh look at this ... there isnt any cell service here, haha.

Funny, I've downloaded e-mail from inside the tunnel.

Is this something new since they shut down the north and south tunnel trunks and went to site 16?

I saw the report on KING TV last week, and all I can say is someone did not do their research. The "report" is full of so much misinformation. Unfortunately that seems to be the "norm" these days. Shocking headlines, followed by wrong information that makes the story grab the attention of the unsuspecting public. C'mon "Danger Jim", do a little legwork and get the facts before you launch such a load of crap into the fan.

I remember a few years back that KGW down here did a report on Portland's dead zones with the SmartZone system. It was a very well explained report which pretty much said they know about and its going to be fixed. And yes, it was.
