King5 reported that there are CG and DOE helo's up over the oil spill Tacoma to Vashon. Any ideas about DOE radio activity. Oil spill cleanup is on 454.0

Mark, Try 25.04, 25.08, 36.25 and 41.41 low band. Then 150.98, 154.585, 158.445 and 159.48 as well as 454.00/459.00. Government and Private Companies all use these channels. MTM

Back in days of olde, Ecology mobiles talked to the state EOC on 45.2 and 45.36.

Friday afternoon State EOC on 45.36 tried to raise Ecology 211, no joy.

Later in the day on 45.36, State EOC to unknown unit: "Understand you are off the water at Point Defiance."
oops, I just violated the Communications Act of 1934 by divulging and publishing the contents of a radio communication.

:D :D :D Hey Steve ! Sould we turn in Matt to the FCC ? (LOL) It seems from other posts that the FCC can't do much. Matt - your punishment is to also tune in to 45.48 Mhz - State OES ops. They still use all 3 frequencies ( 45.20, 45.36 and 45.48 ). MTM

:D OK Mark. try 454.00 R (Mt Const and Buck Mtn) and 153.05 R and 153.155 R (Buck Mtn) and 158.3325 (5 watt portables). MTM
