i just bought a pro96 scanner. using win96 i got it programed no problem. well one problem i don't seem to be picking up the encrypted channels!. i want to listen to macchord a.f.b. i can watch the scanner stop on the voice channels and the talk groups i.d. number but no sound! it's set for open mode. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks. p.s. the same for tacoma p.d. :?: |

Encrypted means you can't monitor it. But post the talkgroups and we'll double check that you're not doing anything wrong. |

You should hear much of McChord as unencrypted voice. As Atomic Taco has said... encrypted is untouchable either at McChord or Tacoma PD. If you do not hear anything at McChord your Table settings are not correct. |

The PRO-96 just ignores encrypted talkgroups, and won't pause on them. Otherwise, it sounds like your tables aren't programmed correctly. |

ok this is going to sound stupid but what are these tables you guys are talking about and what settings do i need to change so i can hear macchord. thanks much. max. :D |

For WIN-96 the table is in the upper right corner of the bank programming screen. The table is 406.3625 - 380 - 12.50 You need to also have the CCs in and each set to MO mode. The type in the top center of the screen must be MOT and you must select the custom table radio button below MOT 3600CC. |
