I have fired up an old BC895 trunker and the old talk group for Auburn Police doesn't work. I get Kent at 37136 with lots of chatter but Auburn at 36944, 36976, & 37008 are all dead. The talkgroup database doesn't show any changes. Does anyone else hear Auburn on 36944? Thanks in advance. BJ |

The 895 doesn't handle patches between talkgroups well. Auburn is usually patched to Algona/Pacific, so the id numbers you have won't be the ones that show on the display. It could show the Auburn numbers+3, or the other talkgroup+3 (36851??). Try going into 'search' mode to find them for certain, then program those id's. You can program the system as Type I to get rid of the status bits (the +3 part), but it won't necessarily find the patch if you don't have both base talkgroups programmed. Flash |
