Not sure if they are still there but crews were fighting a brush/tree fire on SR 410.
I drove by about 5:00 and saw Engines 11, 13, Brush 11, Medic 13, Chief 101, 102, 103, Battalion 11, 2 Department of Resources Trucks, 2 dot incident response team trucks, 1 dot incident response team supervisor, 2 pse power company trucks, 2 dnr helicopters and a truck delivering porta potties.

I forgot Tender 19 that was there also. Could have been alot more but they may have been gone when I went by.

Wildfire is big business.

They had some going along I-5 farther south, DNR channels were busy until dark.

Do you guys know the cost of air ops? It's into the tens of thousands of dollars per hour to use it. As of Wednesday night around 7 pm somewhere in the neighborhood of $112,000 had been spent on the Oak Creek Fire for air fire fighting efforts...I want a hell-e-copter and a huge-ass bucket o' water to make that much money! :hitit:
