"State officials in Washington are frustrated with the lack of progress with their 800 MHz reconfiguration project and claim the process is broken. Washington needs to reband its EF Johnson MultiNet 2 trunked system, which includes more than 5,000 subscriber units distributed across six geographic regions, along with the state’s ferry system. The state also has several 800 MHz trunked systems that need to be rebanded and that must interoperate with the state public-safety system, particularly during inclement weather." |
