'State'- (R) 155.970, been covering SR20 from Sherman-east.
Not sure the input (?) Old aircraft maybe?
I've heard the USFS guys on it during summer.

Also, a new designator- 'Blue Creek' from Colville (154.665 S)(Dist 4).
Coverage along SR231.

I know Slate Peak (Sr20) has a 'State' repeater as well as Stevens (Sr 2).

They have had a repeater working on that frequency [State Common] on Kalispell Mt. for sometime. Until recently, it really didn't get used that much except by the Game guys. They use 158.790 for the input. I have to wonder if it has to do with Spokane getting the repeater on 4.905. I have noticed when I've been over there lately, that I'm hearing more troopers on the Spokane frequency who are further into southern Pend O'Reille and Stevens county. Used to be that the county line was the cut off. Wonder how long before they can set up a repeater on the Colville area frequency?

I've heard the Troops out in Readan, Fishtrap, Ritzville, all over the damn place on 154.905 (r). It all comes out of District 4.
You're right, Colfax & Colville need to upgrade the comms.

We offered 3 pair of VHF channels to WSP to be used as repeaters for Eastern Washington. The issue could be the money factor. The state is broke!

To be honest I hear Spokane (154.905) here in Moses Lake. Not everyday, but once in awhile. Most troops in Ritzville still use 154.845.

A little off track, but..... You can hear Kennewick in Spokane fairly well, however, the transmitter sounds alittle distorted lately. One day last spring while heading back here, I was up on the West Plains and I heard a trooper w/a 800's number call Kennewick on their Area frequency [155.520] and ask "How's the signal?" Needless to say, the female dispatcher could hear him. His reply was, "Not bad from the top of Mt. Spokane" then signed! I thought to myself, 'Dude, your at 5800 ft., of course she can hear you....and what are [you] doing up their in the company car?!

I'd be interested in what frequency pairs you offered them? Since 154.665 is the Area frequency (R) for Bremerton and 154.845 is the input to the Everett Area frequency, 155.655 (R), you would think making those two frequencies repeater outputs would not be a problem as their should be more than enough seperation. They would just need input frequencies for them.

I think the farther east they roam, it becomes easier to switch to Spokane and talk on the repeater. The border for the Ritzville detachment is usually Fishtrap (Spokane/Lincoln county line) however I have in the past, heard them on 154.845 working as far east as Tyler (MP257) and slightly beyond.

As confirmation: Heard State/Kalispell today, Fishpolice like you said. Wildlife100 and Widlife199 running a subject @MP3 on Tacoma Creek Rd. Which I believe is where the USAF/Fairchild Survival School is.....
(anyone have freqeuncies for that?)

DFW has what seems to be a tactical/c2c channel on Mica. Silent most of the time but there:
Department of Fish & Wildlife
159.4200 (146.2) R 151.2950 (146.2) WDFW Car-to-Car WPZX790

It sounds like since Spokane area went to a repeater, the boundaries changed a tad. Shouldn't matter, all comms comes out of Dist 4.
I believe Dist 8 handles a bigger area though.

Side note: With an HT I TX'd from Mt Spokane to Nanuem, hit the intertie then talked to a guy in Brinnon.

You may be right, but I got the impression he was a Kennewick Troop...so he was a little out of his territory! Maybe a transfer!

I was up there once and could get into the 147.140 repeater (K7KTR ex WB7WBJ) in Plains, MT.

150.195

Mike... They should be refering to it as "State A"? I used to listen to them when I lived over there and I keep it programmed in my scanner and hear them all across the state. As I go back and forth, I hear them refering to it as "State A, State B, State C", etc. When I hear traffic on there in Central Washington, I have noticed they are using DCS instead of PL....and they all fall under the same callsign of KE-9669.

They also have/had phone patch capability on there. Some time back, I heard a Game guy in Spokane talking to a counterpart in Wenatchee wanting him to do some follow up for him. Sounded like a regular phone conversation...no beeps, squelch tails etc! And I have heard the Wenatchee game office on there too calling different units from time to time. I think they use the input frequency, minus the PL, for Simplex...but that's just conjecture on my part!

Chuck
