All the USFS UHF freqs I've heard are used as links for their VHF repeaters. If you search the Intercept database for "Federal" the link pairs should show up on 411 and 415 mhz.

I've had good luck w/ Quilcene UHF link. Whatever repeater is brought up it comes over the UHF link. However, we'ved moved over to East Pierce County now and I'm moitoring Mt. Rainier (VHF) with no UHF link. I'm trying to figure out the Forest (USFS) freqs for the area besides the NPS.
I'm glad I still live in an area where VHF and UHF are active and don't need a trunk radio.
On that note, I work at Ft. Lewis, has anyone figured out the trunk system? Seems to be 4xx.xxx (Gov't) and encrypted.

I discovered today that 415.575 is a link for the National Flight Following freq 168.550. I heard a lot of the "breaking events" for a new fire near Cle Elum this afternoon. Lead planes, rappel helos, bucket helos, smokejumpers, and air tankers! Wenatchee Dispatch (CWC) and Puget Sound Dispatch (PSCC) were heard too.

Other freqs heard in use for FF are 132.55, 122.225, 122.925, 166.675 and 169.150. Lots of traffic on FS Darrington 170.525 and DNR NW on 159.240, 159.375, and 159.435.

You live so close to Grant County airport. Several years ago, they moved the air tanker base from Pangborn in East Wenatchee to Grant County airport. Maybe they will let you visit to see their operations? When I did a visit to te smoke jumpers base in Winthrop, they let us go into the jumper aircraft. I did not have a camera with me tho. Otherwise, I would have taken a picture of a laminated card attached to the aircraft door. The card had all the frequencies and channel designators on them for that particular fire season.

Yesterday, from Everett, I could hear Wenatchee on the 415.575 freq! It seems, however, it is being used for more than just relaying the 168.550 Flight Following traffic. I thought I also heard the Wenatchee dispatcher calling other units that were not air units. Is it possible the 415.575 is relaying other of their channels as well?

I've never heard any channels other than "National Flight Following" relayed on this, though there is more than just "following" going on. Good spot to hear new frequencies announced...

I think Wenatchee's transmitter may be on Monumental Mtn, heard some references to that. Puget Sound CC also tracks aircraft on 168.65 and that comes over the link as well.
