The old Seattle MDT system has been retired over the past couple of years. SPD migrated to a Mobile Data Computer (MDC) system that uses MobilVu mobile PCs which are trunck mounted. They access dispatch using Sprint wireless modems and the Sprint PCS network. This is the same digital system that you can use through Sprint only with added encription and (so far) cannot be monitored. Keith |
