Does anyone know the talkgroup ID for Issaquah Police Department Dispatch. The talkgroups indicated on the main kind county list do not seem to be correct. I think the talkgroup ID designated as the PD dispatch channel is now a back-up or tactical channel because I'm not hearing much activity on it. Thanks, Joe W7NHL. |

I believe that Issaquah recently started using Mobile VDTs, which would cut down on a lot of voice traffic. Not sure how that is going to turn out, I think that they are using ATT CDPD which is going to go away this summer, so they would have change over to ATT GPRS which is even more lame than |

AT&T is giving businesses and agencies that were on CDPD a 'discount' to switch to the new EDGE network, a faster version of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service). The issue is that no one has developed a business solution for the few EDGE PCMCIA cards available to be used with a roof mounted ant. Some agencies have been lucky enough to have people on their payroll who know what parts to order to make their own harnesses. |
