Has anyone figured out the security and operations channels/talkgroups being used at the National Governors Conference in Seattle? 155.97 (r) at the Westin? Some other WSP channel resource (like DNR channels form other areas), Federal support?

Spencer,

Good question. It has not been declared a National Security Event. News I get is only about 1/2 of the Gov's and staff will be here.

Rumors that at least two special flights will come into Boeing Field.

Perhaps as much fun will be to listen in on the anti-NGA folks (kids dressed up all in blac). Usually they use Day Wireless radios and FRS. They have also used packet over FRS.

Anyone up for meeting on Saturday the 17th to listen to both sides of the event?

Rix

I have dibs on Mark's Punky Brewster DVD collection. Don't worry Mark, we'll make sure to feed your 17 cats while your away.

I would bet that the system is up on 138-144 rather than 162-174. Just a guess, but I hope that someone is searching there.

Anyone pick up on this talk group today on the Seattle sytem? Seens to be Apco 25 and encrypted. Or perhaps I was not playing well with Apco.

Any digital you hear on the system will be P25. All of the LE tg's are supposed to be encrypted. The only clear P25 tg's are for the techs to mess with.
