Wed. at 1ish I got a call from a friend at Madison on I5 where they were doing a slowdown. As it passed me at Northgate it was a rolling slowdown all the cars were DOT and they were all around a flatbed semi that looked like it had long metal things stacked. They were doing about 30-35. I blew it and stuck the scanners on 155.58 and 155.46. After it passed I hit scan the all the cars were communicating on LEARN. Any ideas what they stop the freeway for in the middle of the day? |

the truck in question had braked suddenly, sliding it's load of structural steel into the cab. The driver was okay. the convoy was just to get the truck towed away...I assume with steel beams pushed into the cab the truck could no longer turn very well.... john |
