Looks like the tiny town of Waitsburg, WA. has the "Perfect" radio system for scanner heads. The town of 1500 person just north of Walla Walla has a Police channel on 155.01 and a Fire Channel on 154.43. Both have a remote base and receive station located on a hilltop just east of town. But unless "someone messed up" BOTH the Police and Fire are relayed on the same channel : 453.40 R / 458.40 FX1. If you monitor 453.40 you will hear BOTH the police and fire. Alright !! (stations KLK-683 & KBG-280). |

Perhaps they use different PL tones to select the remote transmitter... |
