Anybody monitoring this?

As soldiers practice firing an ultramodern rocket launcher near Yakima, officials consider whether the weapon’s sonic booms would be too loud to bring to Fort Lewis...

I say go for it. The sound of freedom.
Ft Lewis is a quieter base anyways.
They don't have much night fire or Apachees flying around.
I like the sound of the range, it makes me happy I'm out of the Army 8)

That is the part that I miss..

I loved the range, and now that I have to pay for my ammo, along with no longer being to just go out and blow s#!t up.

If you live by range 15 (I think), it is run by MWR. It is occupied by GS type civillians and they do an excellent job in operating it safely and in a military manner.
It is a nice, safe place to teach younger people. (Teenagers, if that's possible).

I would welcome the sonic boom (I grew up in Florida, when the Shuttle landed there we loved the 2 sonic booms) but I think some of the neighbors might not like it.

Back '95 when I was in the Army we had to stop our live fire because some high ranking moron in Spanaway couldn't sleep, and these were just M1 tanks.

I actually don't monitor any Training Center Frequencies except the fire ones. I actually don't have them to be honest....The only thing I monitor is TCFD on 141.125.

I traveled through the N Yakima area in Sep and noticed an extension of the Ft Lewis p25 trunk alive and quiet. They probably just carry everything over the hills and keep on fighting.
