I noticed that SPD has replaced most of the antennas on their cars with a new, shorter black flexible rubber whip. It sort of looks like a "rubber-duckie" antenna. They appear to be using them for both voice and data. Does anyone know the manufacturer/model number of this antenna? My intuition tells me that an antenna of this type wouldn't perform very well, but if SPD is using them widely, they must work OK. |

Is this it? You can look up part number 439721 at tessco.com. It's a dual band antenna. |

These antennas are widely used in my area for the Wilson amps to amplify the aircards and the cellphones... |
