I was near Westport this weekend and if course had my scanner with me. I was listening to listings for both Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.

I continually heard a unit identified as Stillwater 16 going out on traffic stops. They were continual. Each time I heard it I was standing away from the scanner and couldn't get back in time to see which frequency he was on. Is anyone familiar with "Stillwater 16" and can advise where this unit or agency is located? It would be interesting to know.

Many thanks,
Gampawayne

Sounds like he was getting back at a dispatcher.
Continous T/stops...He-He. Old Favorite trick.

From my understanding, it is a State Parks designation under contract with Pacific Co. I was on a rails-trails committee years ago and the subject of contract LE came up and that was used as an example. State pays half and Pacific Co the other.

Any idea where this is located in Pacific County? The officer's point of geographic reference on each stop were milepost markers. Sometimes he would give the mile and tenths of a mile in decimals. At first I thought it might be down around the casino in Tokeland, but after a while that didn't seem right.
His signal was quite strong up at Grayland Beach State Park.
Thank you,

Hmm you're correct. I must have been thinking of another park but the designation sounds like a Parks or DNR unit. I'm stumped too
