As a firefighter who goes up there to train at least once a year for the last 10 years I can tell you that most of the Departments that train together use there 800mhz radios in simplex mode on the State Ops. Ch. I'm not sure what the freq. is, I know it is not a Talk Group since operating in simplex mode. Maybe sombody out there knows? As for the State employees who work there, not sure what they use. |

It has been 2 years since I have last been up there, but I thought they used REDNET at the academy... as for State OPs 1 867.5375, State OPs 2 867.5625, State Ops 3 867.5875, OPs 4 867.6125, Ops 5 867.6375.... |

I believe field units are dispatched by WSP with "J" designators. |

On our 800Mhz Radios our Bank C is Simplex. A Non-Trunked Communication with limited range. In Bank C of our Radios on C-15 is State Ops. 1, State wide simplex tactical channel. Can also be used to talk to Airlift NW. No more Rednet on the 800Mhz that I could find. |

Correct, Rednet is the VHF version, wont find it on the new radios State Ops 1 is the place to be now. Going to be fun trying to get all the departments to learn enough about their radios so we can get them to switch around without having to wait for an hour till they find where they need to be. It is going to be easier to have Airlift switch to ours... The tech's have already started taking away the VHF buttons on the dispatch positions, so it is fun during breaks with AMR/Rural Metro on Everett fire.
