I decided not to do the Blues again today, and bailed on the idea of catching them at BFI, and civilization in general.
Headed to the mountains to listen in on the Easton Ridge fire near Cle Elum...The one that was sparked by the logging helo crash.
In no order, and CSQ (no PL) unless noted:
168.700- USFS "Command" channel (repeated), mostly logistics traffic
170.975- Input to USFS command channel
168.200- USFS hand crew tac channel (simplex), possibly Alpha division
164.9125- USFS "Air-to-Ground" channel (simplex), with "AirTac" the primary controller coordinating hotspot bucket dumps and water scoops at Lake Easton
168.600- USFS hand crew tac channel (simplex), possibly Delta division
168.050- USFS hand crew tac channel (simplex), unk division
151.280- Washington State Parks "Common" with "Easton-12" and "Parks 330" simplex traffic at Lake Easton State Park. Note: The listening spot I used was at the state park, at the far west end past the boat launches...The ranger there (330) has a radar gun, and 15 MEANS 15.
159.420 (D023)- Washington DNR repeater with fire traffic
151.295 (114.8 )- Input to above repeater
151.310- Possibly DNR handcrew...simplex
151.340- Possibly DNR engines or pumpers/tankers...simplex
170.125- Wenatchee NF "Project" channel with unrelated traffic...simplex
172.250- Wenatchee NF ops (repeated)
This may go on for awhile; Alpha ordered up 60 more FF's and additional engines and assets, including more air support (over the "Command" channel) for tomorrow and the coming week.
Ps- If anyone does head up to listen, and stops by the Shell station on Sparks road...Let me know if you find a diamond ring.
The wife lost it somwhere in the parking lot or store...to the tune of $5400. :(
