Logs as follows, sorry for the mishmash, was busy on return:

153.935 telemetry (in Leavenworth)
154.430 (110.9) Fire Dispatch
450.0125 telemetry (in Leavenworth)
852.0875 LTR Control (WSDOT?)
860.3125 Moto Control Channel
866.6375 LTR Control (WSDOT?)
155.550 (127.3) Chelan Co Sheriff "Tac-2" car-to-car
155.940 Unk
164.775 (110.9) Hanford Fire with fire weather forecast for Zone 675
166.300 Poss USFS input to 171.500
151.280 Lake Wenatchee State Park rangers (367, 358) with pretty unprofessional chat, no PL tone. A call of "KUI965" was heard, but does not match the FCC DB.

And the best one,

152.915- No tone decoded. 3 guys were on here joking back and forth with each other about the WSP speed enforcement. I could listen to Air-6 calling out vehicles for the ground units, then switch to this one and catch color commentary about the way he called the descriptions. The guys on this channel mentioned "Air-6" by callsign, and noted the fact he'd recently been in the Tri-Cities area as well. Both either had scanners or two-ways, as I could hear the WSP traffic as they chatted. A license check shows this freq as being part of a network of "for hire" repeaters, but this was simplex traffic. Very strong in Leavenworth proper.

Any ideas?

I should've known that one; it's in my personal database. There is a wildland fire north of Lake Chelan, the "Tolo" fire. Maybe?

In my DB as "parks common"; I logged traffic on it once, years ago at Kanasket-Palmer State Park in East King County.

Agreed on the "but we've always done it this way!" mentality.
