did a search mode today and heard 155.700 141.3 tone and one of those priority traffic tones every 15 secs or so but haven't heard any voice traffic. Is this Shelton, Littlerock or another DOC facility?

I believe the Womens prison in Purdy uses 155.700 with a 141.3 PL.

The WSP page here on Intercept says that 155.700 is also used for the WSP Tac Squad. Is it used by both WSP and DOC?

es, WSP and DOC both use this freq. DOC was using the freq for the longest time without a FCC license. DOC uses this freq mainly as a mobile/portable setup for communicatons between arrivin DOC transports etc. There are no repeaters.

WSP also has DOC permission to use the freq to communicate with DOC, but they do use it for other things.

155.100 is used by DOC as a mobile only for Spokane Co.

Troopers in District 6 have access to 155.700. The catch: 155.700 is used by MACC as the car to car output channel. Otherwise the troopers mobile radio do not have access to DOC channels.

That's the primary transport freq also. Transportation is on VHF with access to LERN. Now some of the DOC places still use this (155.7) as primary ops, so what you may have heard (alert tone) was a "code" response to an incident.

I hear Purdy from my place at Dash Point. They seem to like their tones.
I have heard channel marker tone several times. Fire incident at the prison, other stuff.

155.70 was "allotted" to the State DOC back around 1965. Each prison or venue holds a license unto itself. There is no "statewide" DOC license. Since most DOC sites are now on 800 mhz --- 155.70 has become a back-up use channel. During the 1970's -- the WSP -- Tac Sqd -- had a "mobile Command Post Van -- and portables on 155.70 to communicate with DOC. The WSP does NOT use 155.70 -- other than for "riot control" by the WSP Tac Sqd. 155.70 is NOT programmed into any WSP car -- except as a receive only --- in the Grant County area.
