Our radio shop is seriously considering purchasing the equipment to do radar calibration all over Eastern Washington. Does anyone here on the group have any influence over county or city agencies that might be in need of calibration? We'd like to level the playing field and give agencies a few options. I'd be happy to answer any questions.

I know on the west side there is a shortage of people doing it. I believe there is only one company doing it. I know when it came time for my agency to do ours, we ran in to some difficulty in finding someone.

Would definitely go to bat for you, if you would be willing to travel to the NW part of the state. If so, PM me and I will be more specific.

Heck -- I know Brian is willing to travel as far as Klamath Falls -- just to work on radar and two-ways. -- But before you buy that NEW Radar Jammer -- Check out the FCC Daily Digest -- (April 12, 2007). The FCC has fined several companies for selling the "Radar Jammers". I'll just stay with my old Radar Detector.. ----

Both the Cityand County radio shops are busy with two-way stuff to handle radar units. They do have a few good techs --- but they are just to busy. And they charge Big City prices.

Beside daily at the the officer level, agencies have standards as to how often a radar/ lidar unit is to be calibrated by a professional shop. Or should.
It can come up in court by the foe as he tries to say something stupid, like "I wasn't speeding".

Yeah, because nobody has ever clocked a tree at 46 MPH, or anything like that.
