It sounds like there has been a change to talkgroups. TG 1616 was supposed to be Search & Rescue (Channel 1 on 155.415 in the VHF system) but I'm getting different types of traffic on it today. Does any one know what changed and why?

Sno SAR, 155.415, shows up on the TG list here as TG 1616. I'm seeing it on Trunker this morning as a Patched TG with a TG # of 4197. Anyone else seeing this.

Also, PSOPS N 4 is active, and I'm hearing unit designators like 53 Union 8, 53 Union 9, 53 Union 5. Some addresses like Maltby and York, SR 524 traffic stops, etc. Are these south SnoCo sheriff units?

I have PSOP -N3 TG=60432 as active as well this afternoon. Sounds like routine traffic stop type comms.

Sounds like they are using PSOPS N-3/N4 for doing traffic control in certain areas. Maybe a group type effort.

Sno County agencies are working traffic enforcement emphasis in certain areas of the county. All this week it has been in the Southwest part of the county. This is similar to the emphasis that was going on in Pierce County last month. Lynnwood had two motor officers participating(I heard 5Lincoln54 go into service on SNOCOMM Police 2 and he advised that he was switching to SNOPAC talkgroup) Not sure what other agencies were participating other than LPD and SCSO. They were using "Union" callsigns throughout the week. I believe it is to continue through this month. They are using PSOPS N4 for this particular emphasis.

As of 3/4/07 they are simulcasting talkgroups PSOPS N3 and N4 as well as well as SCSO SAR for a traffic enforcement emphasis in east Sno County.

Here is a link regarding the emphasis.
