Am hearing self named 'dispatch' station on DNR State-159.420 around the Puget Sound area. Something new, havn't heard this in the past. Good to ease the workload from WSP comm center.

You're not tracking- What I'm saying is on DNR State (159.420); it sounds as though the WDFW now have thier own communications, seperate from WSP communications. This is on state, not common.

help me track - what does DNR common have to do with WSP state if 155.97 is what you mean by state.

159.420 is also refered to as 'state' by the DNR and WDFW.
Not a big deal. Just sharing what I've monitored lately.
Happy holidays.

:D The Washington State Fish & Game Dept --- protects fish and game, a natural resourse and enforces state laws. As such --- they have access to all WSP and DNR radio channels. 158.79 was the I.O.R. ( Inter Office Radio channel ) for just about all major state agencies. The WSP now must use 158.79 as an input to various WSP repeaters. The DNR "State" channel is also used by most State Agencies as an inter-office or "Statewide" channel -- if units are "out of the local area" radio system. I an not aware of any WSP use of the DNR "State" radio channel.
