does anyone know if the King co. emergency ops TG's are active ever or worth putting in my scanner? Would they come alive during a large disaster or something of that nature Thanks

I've never heard anything on them, but I have them in my talkgroup ID banks.. If they ever come active, it'll be something you'll want to listen to, for sure..

FYI, every Wednesday, King County EM does a weekly radio test of both KC EOC Common and KC EOC ops. All of the King County agencies check in, as well as any other King County cities or jurisdictions--like fire, water, sewer, etc.

Sometimes too, they do a radio test of some of the KC Emergency Management talkgroups.

If I were you, I would load them in. They do come alive during large incidients and disasters.
