Can you program more than one "site" of a set of trunking frequencies into one bank?
And
I notice in Police Call 2005 that the Seattle Trunking frequencies fall under either Motorola Type 2 Trunking system Frequencies or Valley Communications/King County System Frequencies. What is the difference?
I have a 895xlt. Can it program the Valley Communications Trunked Frequencies? What type of trunking network does this fall into?

Thanks so much!!!

Dan

Valley Com, King County, Seattle, and Eastside are all on the same system. So if you put in Seattle control channel you also can everyboby else.

Ok, let me reply simply - yes, you can program all the sites into one bank - but most scanners will only listen to one control channel at a time (unless you use the trick of interlacing conventional freqs with control channel freqs which personally I don't think is a great idea).

You should listen to the site with the traffic you want to hear. Not all sites have the same traffic.

What you should do is read this here very carefully:
http://www.interceptradio.com/wiki/inde ... Monitoring

It was written by Wiz, the network manager for the KCTRS. It will explain everything you need to know about what traffic is on what site (i.e. smartzone and smartnet operation)
