Hey all, Jason Here from Orlando,Florida Just wanted to say hello and we are planning to move to the Yelm/Olympia area, haven't figured out exaclty where yet, but we are excited to move to such a beautiful place. i have been looking and it seems my BC396T should be more than adequate to handle the area. Question, I am interested in getting my amateur radio license when i get settled, where is a good place to go and take the exam? any other advice about living in the area would be appreciated as well Thanks for your time and I look forward to monitoring up there soon. jason.prime65334@gmail.com |

Thurston (and Yelm) are VHF and accurately reported on this great site. As far as the test, check out http://www.arrl.org/to see if there is any testing in the area, I'm sure there is. I live around (or have lived) the Yelm area. Hey, your just in time for the new Wal-Mart, yippee! |
