Post subject: | 3-alarm Seattle fire MCI |
Seattle firefighters are battling a 3-alarm fire at a retirement home in north Seattle (it quickly went to three, so it might be upgraded by the time you read this): http://www2.cityofseattle.net/fire/realTime911/getRecsForDatePub.asp?incDate=7%2F30%2F2006&rad1=des It started out designated as a fire call, but then changed to a multiple casualty incident response. Anyone know what these units are: - TRN01 - RM1 |

trn01 is probably one of Seattle's two tunnel rescue units. Nick |

Thanks. What exactly is the role of the resource management unit? How would it differ from the role of the comvan or deputy chief at a scene? |

The role of resource management is to do exactly that, manage resources, i.e. do they have enough medic units, ambulances, do they need help from any other city agency like busses from metro transit etc. |

Interesting. Thanks. I don't recall ever seeing the RM before -- even for large incidents. |
