Sorry, I can't remember. Who (besides prisons frequent use) uses this freq? Used very little but sounds like WSP non-dispatch traffic stuff.

-thanks

Could it be speedtrap / plane tracking related?

Traffic was about the condition of a driver and passenger. More like traffic you would hear on car to car (not dispatch) and it was a base signal not a mobile.

My understanding is --- that this channel was the primary operations frequency for most State Prisons, prior to re-organization of the DOC and moving all operations over to 800 mhz. The 155.70 is now a back-up channel for smaller prisons and units as well as a VHF operations channel for the WSP "Riot Squad", AKA: CDAT -- The Civil Disturbance Action Team. The WSP does NOT have the frequency installed in any patrol mobile or portable units --. Just a special mobile command and communications unit can talk on the 155.70 frequency --. However -- there are several smaller prison units -- with older mobile units -- that use this channel. Most likely that is what you heard --- OR Skip ??? Skippy Mac.

Yeah, I would agree with that. If you check the FCC ULS system, you'll see it's licensed to the DOC across the state. Honestly doubt the state patrol uses it anymore...

Thanks for the input. The signal is louder than the signal I hear from Clallam Bay Prision. So listen up for a while and see what you hear.

I'm also looking for the owner of 417.6. I get a burst of data like 10ish at night and a few other times. sometimes as long a 45 sec's sometimes shorter.

Sounds like "ET" should call your home and tell you who he or she is. LOL LOL. 8 possible State DOC facilitys -- all in Northwestern Washington. How about "EC" ??? Echo Glen Childrens Center in Snoqualmie ???

When I worked for WaDoC, the vhf was used in transportation. Also LERN was programed on all the mobile units.
