I was in Seattle last night for the first time in many months. Near Safeco Field I observed quite a few SPD traffic units. It appeared on all of them that a new antenna had been installed on the front half of the roof. It was silver in color, approx. ten inches long and about 1.3 of the way betwwen bottom to top there was a small loop extending veritally out and a second similar loop about 2/3 of the way up. I asked one of the motorcycle officers and he said he didn't know what it was, that I would need to ask one of the "car guys." The vehicle had two addtional short antennas on the rear of the roof which I presume are for the 800mhz.
Does anyone know what this antenna is for?
