Kitsap County has been granted several new frequencies. 155.25 (R), 155.535 (R), 155.685 (R), 155.925 (R), and 460.075 (R). The VHF frequencies seem to be the old "Valley-Com" channels and the UHF is a give-up frequency from Seattle PD (F-4 North). All seem to be for voice communications.

I was told that there has been some testing going on --- but I can not confirm that. As for why the UHF and the VHF frequencies. Most often times -- the in car data system is placed on a different band -- for technical reasons. However - the FCC license for all of the frequencies shows analog voice. The old San Francisco PD system used low band mobiles in the police cars and UHF Portables. But that was an "add on" to the existing low band system. All 5 frequencies are used some where else in Western Washington.
