Anyone know what's going on in Pierce County on LERN today? I'm hearing several units working what allmost sounds like a delivery operation...Included are 'AIR-4', 'Incident Command', 'Truck 956', 'Truck 949', and several others id'ing only by 3-digit numbers.

Typical exchanges seem to run as follows:

'Air-4 to Incident Command, truck 956 is at drop number 2, contact the emergency room.'

They've also been talking about the possibility of large crowds gathered at fire stations...?

Bird flu drill?

The transmissions are all coming in fairly strong in the Puyallup area.

Edit: Vehicles are also headed to Fort Lewis (via the east gate), and Tacoma General Hospital.

Almost sounds like the air unit is relaying traffic. A drill??

Possibly...One of the units announced it was arriving at a location, at the Emergency Room. The signal was full quieting here in downtown Puyallup, possibly indicating Good Sam (?). However, nothing came over the Good Sam security freq either before, during, or after the unit announced it's departure from that location.

Also, LERN doesn't seem to be closed for this.

Oh, and units have been advised to return to 'RSS' at the conclusion of their transports.
