Mount Rainier / Tumtum Peak SAR Training Exercise?

VTAC 36 Repeater

151.1375 PL156.7 (OUT)
159.4725 PL136.5 (IN)

Map coordinates translate to the area just west of Longmire, WA. It looks to be the Tumtum peak area. Apparently this area is good for mountain bike riding (trails) and there's an injured biker.

Sounds official but I can't find any news-related articles so it could just be training.

Teams 1, 3, 6 and 7 so far and [BASE] COMMAND.

All teams have setup a camp and have been asked to be on the air at 7AM.

Radio discipline sucks. Most of the time they key up without waiting long enough so the transmissions get cut off.

Hear are the recordings. Sorry they still have the 136.5 Mhz PL TONE and that needs to be filtered out for proper audio. I'm not going to manually edit 112 recordings however.

For the past two weeks I have been hearing WSP Wenatchee & Columbia Basin Troopers quite frequently on IWN, I read were WSP is expanding IWN, Is it going to be statewide. Anybody have any ideas.

I'm still hearing them on non-IWN P25 VHF repeaters in your area (Tunk Mt & Klondike). Are you hearing them on IWN in Omak ? I think the microwave east of Tunk is WSP/DOT/OK County so IWN might not be available in that direction.

It's coming off Goat Mt. above Pateros and I get a good single here in the Omak/Okanogan area.

Appears to be vehicle repeater or extender , Ferry Co Sheriff Dispatch side was in the clear but mobile transmitting white noise. Heard at Curlew Lake SP while vehicle was parked there, then signal disappeared when vehicle left
