Thanks for the update Safety/Ops.

The "official" Apparatus Gallery does not have images of the new fireboats or other recent apparatus.

http://www.seattle.gov/fire/photoGallery/apparatusShowcase/specialShowcase.htm

A Google search found this image of Air 240.

And this You Tube video of Rescue One.

Kerwin.............

I don't think the apparatus gallery in the Seattle Fire Dept. website has been updated in several years. For instance, Medic 44 shows it being a white Suburban when it is now red like all of the other command vehicle and there are Ladder trucks and Engines that have been replaced with newer rigs.

F.Y.I - The USAR (Urban Search & Rescue) semi-truck at Station 27 is no longer the FEMA regional response unit for WATF-1 (Washington Task Force - 1). For some unknown reasons...possibly logistics, this unit has been transferred to a Lakewood (Pierce County) station since it is closer to McChord Air Force Base and could respond quickly to any incident in the nation. The semi-truck is still at Station 27 along with the MMST (Metropolitan Medical Strike Team) semi-truck. Seattle Fire is still using this unit in case of any major incident in the city like the earthquake in 2001.

Also, Seattle Fire Unit 77 is now a unit that resembles Air 240 and Rescue 1 which was also put in service sometime during 2008.

Not sure who we could contact to get new apparatus photos taken for the Seattle Fire website, but it sure would be nice to see some newer unit pictures...............................

Looking at the logs for today, I see that A85 responded to Ne 41st St / University Way Ne. Gotta be the reserve out of Station 17.

What it doesn't explain is why E22, E38, and E3? were all having a pow-wow outside Temporary Station 17 sometime between 19:00 and 19:30.

OK a few more questions, and more will come up after I get the geocoder to work.

Does Redmond have a Station 18?

Where is Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 75? The address listed on their site (4225 180th Ave SE Bellevue, WA 98008) doesn't map and I can't find it via areal photography or Street view.

Where is Skykomish Fire Department (FD #50) Station 296? I have 64110 NE Index Creek Rd, Skykomish, WA but it doesn't map.

Snoqualmie only has one station, right? 37600 SE Snoqualmie Pkwy, Snoqualmie, WA but it doesn't map.

Snoqualmie Pass Fire & Rescue, Station 291, won't map: 69802 Hwy 906, Snoqualmie Pass, WA

Corrected addresses and/or Latitude/Longitude is what I need for the map.

Try this link for a street view of 75.

Redmond Station 18 is in Redmond Ridge and when it opened Station 15 was closed.

Station 296 is in Baring, just off Highway 2.

Thanks for 75. Do you have an address for 18? I'll look for 296 later, too early now. Image

As for snoq. pass, http://maps.live.com/#JnE9eXAuNjk4MDJHb ... I2OTE2NQ== is the visual view, i can't get the map to work with the address either.

Here's their website: http://www.snoqualmiepassfire.org/

Snoqualmie Fire Department 37600 SE Snoqualmie Pkwy, Snoqualmie, WA 47.534501, -121.839279
Snoqualmie Pass Fire & Rescue 69802 Hwy 906, Snoqualmie Pass, WA 47.424778, -121.414852

Duvall (FD #45) Station 69, 18001 313th AVE NE, Duvall, WA (won't map).

Is this accurate for Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 85?

Same for Vashon Island Fire & Rescue (FD #13) Station 5

KC FD #34 Station 18, 22710 NE Aldercrest Drive, Redmond, WA 98053 (won't map via Google, and all I see are houses on Live).

Redmond's site is down--is FD 34 the same as Redmond Fire Department?

That pretty much does it, got a couple more tweaks and then I'll start working on actually mapping everything.

Google maps is showing the wrong location mark. I know the layout of station 18 as I have driven by it before. If you look at the intersection of Redmond Ridge Drive and NE Alder Crest Drive, fire station 18 is on Aldercrest the first building to the left of Redmond Ridge Drive.

Redmond Fire Department and King County Fire District #34 operate jointly
http://www.kcfd34.org
http://www.redmond.gov/insidecityhall/fire/fire.asp

According to Fire District 34 website there are stations 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18. 11, 12 and 16 are inside the city limits of Redmond.
