It's nice when District 1 comes down the hill into Mill Creek to do their grocery shopping and then gets dispatched to a District 7 call because with GPS Dispatching closest unit gets Dispatched. :)

Marysville PD (SERS 9616): "Just as a heads up, apparently everything in PREMIS got deleted when we did the switch from CAD to New World."

Yuck.

Great! We are responding to homes now with no PREMIS Info? Be safe out there.

The first few days seemed to be a little rough on the edges. I think I recall you worked the night shift the first day it went live?

Seems like things have smoothed out now.

This system is wonderful,

And it fills my heart full of happiness.

Anyone got a can of RAID?

I'll take the unpopular side and state that, when I was working with a SnoCo-based task force last Sunday in the Marysville area, one of the guys had his laptop upon which New World was running. Aside from the Soundex-style associated names that filled the screen upon running any Hispanic name, and the fact that WACIC was incredibly slow (not an NW issue), I was grudgingly impressed with the system.

Then again, this opinion comes from someone who tried to set his laptop gloriously aflame when TraCS attempted to do it's 9th update in 2 days and completely crashed...again.

Nothing fast about this system.

I think it would be OK for a small city, but Im not really that impressed with it yet, with several users.

That was the "Mobile" side. It has become better, since the earlier versions. The dispatch side can be a different story.....

And then there's the company as a whole. "Contentious" is a good word for how they deal with their customers, once you call them on their BS. Or after you settle the lawsuit.

Brad.

The fancy new dispatch system has been down since about 14:00 today.
Dispatchers are back to voice dispatch.
A few FD's are self dispatching.
#awesome
