The associated TAC and C/C channels are for the respective agencies using the Police 1/2/3 channels. The NC Data channel will eventually be a dedicated data service for all NORCOM user agencies.

At this point, Issaquah PD dispatch operations remains unchanged. Redmond PD Dispatch also remains unchanged.

Bothell PD is unchanged, and continues to dispatch Lake Forest Park PD on the Bothell Dispatch TG.

unit number changes for the agencies? Specifically NC2 dispatch?

Brad, is BPD still using 21360 for records or is that NORCOM Records now?

Anyone know if NORCOM is going to change the way they dispatch Eastside Fire? Like are they going to stay with one dispatch channel?

It is "designated" as the new NORCOM DATA channel...but it won't really start up full time until after the first of the year sometime. For now, it's still be used by Belleuve PD Records section, to run plates/names - but eventaully NORCOM will take that function over, and Bellevue PD Records will just be a records section with no on-the-air responsibilities.

Oh - even though all NORCOM user agencies can access that channel now, they only provide services to Bellevue PD - all the other users have to run name/plates on the main air.

So even though you can hear dispatch and activity on old Bellevue TG's it's just been renamed to the proper NORCOM Tg's now? So no real TG numbers have changed, pretty much just the name of the systems and the Alpha tags so to speak?

doing some more looking into NORCOM-911. I see they have a webpage. Also it states on the NORCOM page there are 5 Police agencies and 14 Fire agencies dipatched by NORCOM. Not sure if all the fire departments are still under the old TG's or if they will migrate over to the new NORCOM TG ID's in time..

I've not heard of any changes coming for the Fire Departments in NorCom. They were already unified before Norcom was created.

I updated the King County Page with this new info... but had a question to the group (and of course with input from Rich):

For these talkgroups, would you like to see them listed under city or under NorCom as a city? Or should, for example, 21424 be shown in the database 3 times, once for Bellevue, once for Clyde Hill, and once for Medina?

Put NorCom as the city then put the city names in the notes field. That way it remains searchable by city name and keeps out a bunch of duplicate records.

So since there will be a couple different PD's using say for example Norcom PD-1 are they identified by unit numbers etc? Or how will that work? Will dispatch be calling by Bellevue Unit XXX or will we have to figure out what units they are dispatching by car #'s unit ID's etc?

Norcom decided what the unit designators are, i.e. Boy = Bellevue.
