Thanks for your opinion Rod. Disregard that frequency question, I realized it was just part of the City of Tacoma system- but I guess you already knew that. That's what I get for drinking that crazy homebrew! :puke:

Anyone with more time wanna swap Unitrunker files on this sytem?

I've nailed down a whopping 6-7 talkgroups and about 20 users.

This is all I have thus far, I haven't had a lot of time to listen lately.

336- "PPD F-1"
368- "Possibly PPD F-2?"
592- "Puy DPW F-1"
624- "Puy DPW F-2"
45232- "PPD F-6 ENC"

I've heard PSOPS S-1 and S-2 on the system, as well as the King County Radio Shop channel. Fire's not on there yet, not even a cross-band to them.

From listening, knowing how PPD works, and guesswork, I'm thinking that they use at least 6 channels, F-1 through F-3 being analog, and F-4 through F-6 encrypted.

Time will tell.

BTW, here's the dam government in action for ya!

Had dinner tonight with a Lakewood PD sergeant and his family. His LPD car in the driveway was sporting a new 800 pigtail antenna, but no control head on the console. He tells me they already installed the radio, but not the head, though department memos say the switch is happening August 1st.

Anything from the McNeil Island site?

I am getting no control channel yet from the mcneil site. Let us know more info if you can from that officer. :)

Today I pointed a beam antenna at McNeil Island from right near the Steilacoom ferry dock- nothing.

Maybe he meant August 2009?

LPD buddy issued a new 800 mhz portable, didn't see what it was. Says he was told they're on track to go live this weekend.

Hey will, does your LPD buddy know if they are going to activate mcneil tower? I will keep my scanner open on it to see if a control channel pops up. Please let us know any more information. :) Thanks -Louie--
