Mark gets two points out of four. SPD (F-1) 155.25 North and at one time Citywide, (F-2) 155.97 Central, and (F-3) 155.64 South. King County had 155.19. --- BONUS QUESTION: 25 Points: What was King County Sheriff on PRIOR to 155.19 High Band ???? 50 points if someone knows the PL tone. I bet even the radio shop doesn't know this one !!!

:D That is correct. The WSP Primary channel/frequency was 155.475 -- statewide. They paired 155.475 with 154.77 -- duplex -- much like the CHP on low band. 155.475 Base to cars, 154.77 cars to base -- and for car to car -- the mobiles would use the 155.475. -- Just about the same time that SPD gave up 155.97 -- the FCC and APCO made 155.475 a nationwide -- inter-police channel -- so the WSP just moved 155.97 into the Primary F-1. What was the WSP on before High Band ???

My information says NO. it was a low band channel -- but NOT 33.70 mhz. The State might have had some type of radio license on 33.70 -- but not for the WSP. The very first WSP units to use radio -- were located in the Clark County - Vancouver Area and listened to the Portland PD on 2414 Khz. --- Later they moved to thier own LOW Band Frequencies.

Gary, You got it on the noise. 42.54 Statewide - Base and Mobiles / simplex. 50 point bonus -- if you know or can remember the low band WSP -- car to car frequency. Does anyone know what LOW BAND frequency King County Sheriff used ???
