And here I thought someone else was using NOAA freqs as a quiet, private channel!

140.16 FM

I just happen to be scanning the 140-150 range and there was a fairly strong FM transmission on this frequency. It sounded like a radio link where someone was picking up their (fairly personal) voice messages. After the last message the link went dead.

141.915 FM

"WEST ST CMD CLEAR, ALL UNITS RETURN TO SERVICE"

142.91 FM

"52 to OFFICE" -- sounds like EMS/AMB

Sounds like Canada.

Probably 142.905. No idea. The other two are in our database.

Thanks Rich, yeah I did search but I filtered by USA. I didn't think I'd be picking up BC comms.

I think the last one has to be related to the Ministry of Health. Yep, it's a repeater on Mt Bruce for EMS dispatch.

Anyone have a clue to what 154.6 (business generic) could be? Very strong around the I-90 Eastgate area... talking about "case trailers" and such. Gravel company?

The first radio user to respond is the "switcher"

Being a MURS frequency could be anyone.

Lots of illegal use of those freqs out there so you need a good directional and some time. :D

My guess would be gravel also. I think Case is a brand name.

Case makes construction equipment.

Yep- and the only trailers they make I know of are farm related.

Farm?

Hidden between I-90 and urban Bellevue is the industrial area along Richards Road and the north frontage road. KingCo transfer station, Lakeside Industries (moving out), SPCA, SGC (radios!), gun range, and who knows what else.

Ah-ha! This may explain it...

http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSear ... ey=1640173

Their antenna is on Gold mountain which may explain the full-quieting signal... EDIT: Hmm, it says their UHF freq operates from the Gold Mtn repeater. I wonder if they temporarily moved 154.6 to that location as well. :)

If it was any small business (running at 1am) then I would expect low-power radios. Of the 5/6 units I heard they were all 100% readable. Granted, I was on my external antenna but still...

I only caught them because of a freq change when checking out WSP in Tacoma.

Nope- I don't think so anyways.

Ace Paving- I believe is out of business. That license is for mobile only at 2 watts.
