Night before last SPD got a call after midnight from a witness stating that she had seen men with guns in a Ballard church. Dispatch told the responding officers that she didn't sound 220, just "very young and very serious."

Turns out that a bunch of guys were playing lazertag in the church. The responding officers called them out of the building with a bullhorn. There goes somebody's janitorial job! ;-) I would have paid money to have been there with a video camera.

At least they'll have a story to tell!

this same type thing happened years ago to some people i knew from high school. they were playing laser tag at night in a 3or 4 level office complex with outside perimeter walkways and inner hallways etc. well some poor woman was working late and happened to see a "dark shadow" go by her window with a gun.. Well we all know what happened next.. lol The local Pd showed up in force and everyone was held at gunpoint until an explanation was made. These guys at the time were like 15-16 years old. They all were scared S***L*** Luckily they didn't get a rookie officer with a nervous trigger finger! :D

I don't think they realize how visible a figure becomes when it's moving through a building. There's a lot of glass in them there things.

When all is said and done, though, I'll bet it was fun while it lasted!

I heard that it was a group of hunters -- that stopped to say a prayer -- and get warm -- on the eve of hunting season.
