I have a list of all the related City PD's that are dispatched on this TG, but who is the "Ocean" units? I see that nowhere, yet keep hearing them..and another question about thisa system, just curious as to why Marysville PD and a couple of others are sperate TG's yet Lynnwood, Montlake, Brier etc are on the Snocom PD "cities" Tg 4816

Ocean units are normally off duty but on the radio for a variety of reasons, usually as a hired police presence by commercial business. But there are again a variety of other reasons. The Ocean designator generally is universal with most agencies.

TG's generally followed what Snohomish County agencies had prior to moving to 800. In the case of the old SNOCOM VHF resources they had Police 1 and after 5PM and weekends Lynnwood moved to Lynnwood public works frequency and was called Police 2, this carried over to 800 thats why there is a Police 1 and Police 2 TG's. Also the Communication Center based on resources may combine agencies or seperate them, it's a matter of what the user agencies needs are and what they are willing to pay for.

It seems that SNOCOM has divided them up into east and west of SR99:

West - Edmonds (E), Mtlk. Terrace (T), Mukilteo (O) TG 4816

East - Lynnwood (L), Brier (B), Mill Creek (K) TG 4880

:)

Actually, I believe that Briar PD is on SnoCom Police 1 (TG 4816). They work so closely with MLT PD that they are almost the same department. :D
