I was at the Seahawk game on Saturday, and I had 23 freqs programmed into the scanner
The NFL freqs and some of the Seahawks freqs are scrambled. one interesting freq was FRS channel 1 It sounded like the coach was using that to talk to Shaun Alexandra or some of the players a lot of on the field operations like look for the hole and good job good play nice try

the 5 main fres that I had in the scanner where

451.4500, 451.8375,452.1250,452.750,461.0750. The freq book had theses listed has a un-known trunk system for quest field, I tried to set it up has a LTR system but was not picking any thing up. Some of the talk groups that did come up was 00-11-185, 00-11-186,00-11-187, 00-11-188
but I did not hear anything.

Some interesting calls

they had a drunk guy passed out in the stands they had 2 gals passed out in the bathroom- aid called. A bunch of people got ejected from the game. Some guy complained because he could not by any more beer after the halftime cut off and my favorite call was some guy who lost his girl friend at the game

You will notice the lack of interest in this post. It could have something to do with the way that the Sea-owls played. They went to SLEEP. They took a dive into a tank. Good report. Just not much to say about the game or the team. And the first person that says "They are re-building the team" gets one on the chin. (LOL). :D :D

Hey give the Hawks a break, they are rebuilding and they got boned on a couple of pass interferance calls.

Mike
P.S. My chin is ready  and I won't cry.

You said it Big guy. They got boned -- on more than one play. :D :D Dodger Stadium and Edison Field both have conventional UHF radio systems. I would expect that some of the NFL or MLB frequencies to be "Blacked Out". But a trunked system ?? Its not that the players get the hugh bucks -- its the waste on money spent in operating the venue and costs to build a private trunked radio system for the ballpark.

Mike, you'd be suprised how many sports stadiums and arenas are using trunked systems these days. I'm sitting at the Staples Center in LA right now listening to their LTR system. Most of the NBA facilities I work around are using trunked systems - San Antonio, Houston (football, baseball & basketball), Dallas, Kansas City, etc.. They are out there...

Isn't Staples Center on a LTR. I was told that Bearcom has a system at Staples as well.

You'd be surprised how little an LTR system costs to build, particularly when used as an onsite system. Add approx $500 - $700 per channel to costs for conventional repeaters and you are trunking in LTR.

Are all of the channels under First & Goal ?? The 5 channel system is trunked. It does appear to be an LTR system. Two other FCC licenses list 451.875 R/m, 452.175 R/M, 452.975 R/M and 23 UHF simplex frequencies. Does anyone else go to the ball games?

That probably means that you did not have the channels in the right LCN order. That can be tricky some times.

What FRS did you get the coach? I tried it in the last game with the FRS freqs programmed in my scanner, but did nt pick up any game stuff (although I might have picked up some encrypted stuff because I heard rubbish about the time the qb was about to get ready.

also is there any way to figure out an LTR system other then by trial and erro? I tried programming each frequency as its own frequency in all 20 banks (I read that works with some models, I am using BCD396T), and I got a bunch of numbers but not sure what to do with the info. For example on 452.125 I got ids of 0-11-182, 0-11-184, and 0-11-185. On 425.75 I got ids on 0-11-184, 0-11-186, 0-11-182 and 0-11-183. Does this help my in any way?

If you're seeing talkgroups in the 0-11-xxx series, that means that there is a channel 11 in the system. Talkgroups with 0-11 will try to use that channel as "home", but will bump to another channel if 11 is already in use by another talkgroup.

So if one frequency comes up overwhelmingly 0-11 and another is often other prefixes but also has 0-11, that points to the first as the real channel 11 and the other as higher in sequence (possibly wrapping around 20->1...).

This works pretty well until you have a channel without much traffic, then you revert to trial & error.
