Does anyone know where I can find Community transit bus line's frequencies ? TNX

Try: 851.8375, 852.5875 and 853.3375 Mhz.

Thanks MTM. I'll see what I can find there <s>. I ride CT frequently and wondered where I might listen. King Co. Metro is quite busy, but I did not know where to listen for CT - now maybe I can see what is going on with CT.
I have mixed feelings about my PRO97 - who else uses one on this board ?

they are 900mhz and listed with the pierce and king radio freqs on the kcmetro page but i dont remember where

Try 866.1875 as well. Could be voice or MDT. I am not sure. But give all four freqs a try. 851.8375, 852.5875, 853.3375, and 866.1875. The 900 Mhz stuff are "links" or "relays" from dispatch to the hilltop transmitter sites and back. (ie: 957.80 )

I think 460.60 R is still in use as a taxi channel in Seattle. Most seem to be going to non-voice data systems - with voice as only a back-up.

I just wanted to let you know that I heard some traffic on the frequencies you listed but I have not yet determined if the traffic is community transit.
One frequency seems to be the dispatcher, but the bus was not audible.

Thanks for the report. Some types of services -- do NOT use "full-duplex" repeater operations. The base dispatcher has more control over the "fleet" that way. This also would explain the 900 mhz "relay" or "control" channels -- linking the mobiles back to the dispatcher -- from hilltop receivers. Keep us notified.

I had a little more time to listen yesterday and I am sure the frequencies are for community transit. When I adjusted the squelch a bit lower I was able to hear all the traffic. The signal is not very steady at times for some reason. tnx

Glad that it works. Keep in mind that they use several mountain top sites -- both in Snohomish and King County and it helps -- if you use an 800 mhz -- tuned antenna. The Radio Shack special 800 Mhz rubber duck works tens times better on my PRO-95 -- over the standard antenna that came with the unit. The "pops" and "hash" are almost gone completely. The King County site -- on Tiger Mtn -- has a lot of dead spots -- even if it is a very high mountain. It sees farther in to the distance -- but has some very poor "dead spots" inside the primary coverage area. Most of the major Seattle FM broadcast stations have moved to Tiger Mtn -- because it's the ONLY site high enough to allow them to be a FULL Class "C" FM station. Keep us posted -- please. MTM

I have an optional attenuator on my PRO 97 that helps with noise in the area and turning down the squelch is also helpful. The most helpful thing so far is being away from the cell phone tower very nearby. Also, where I live is very hilly and we live in a trough, so that is a problem <s>.

I remember being in downtown Seattle one time beneath the transmitter atop the Columbia Tower. The reception was horrible there - but really great in Issaquah 15 miles or so away <s>. Bellevue was famous for dead spots. I used to work there and once in a while carried my PRO 94 to work and back. There were always several places where reception zilch.

One thing I've noticed about the PRO97 is that if I am on a trunked bank such as Snohomish County, the scanner will latch onto the data channel as if it were in conventional mode even though it is set to trunk the 800 mhz snohomish county system.
