Going to be moving to the seattle area in early Sept. I was curious about reception on signals on the eastside. Possibly will be livving in Woodinville. Maybe Kirkland or somewhere in that area. I have a quarter wave groundplane antenna atop a 30 ft mast. now. I have awesome reception now. IF I'm able to put any type of antenna up at the place I'm currently looking to rent then what might my reception area be like? does that eastside area sit higher that the seattle proper area? Get a Topo map. The greater Seattle area is full of hills and valleys so for me it's going to be a case by case for each house not an 'area of town' or 'city' you choose to look for a house. Woodinville and Kirkland both have great places and places that would suck - bad - radiowise.

I'm sure others that know the topo can tell you where the ridges are in those cities.
