Two guys with black jump suites with police on the back were putting up a wireless camera across from the Fed Court House before the march today.

Yeah, I saw that too! I work in Wells Fargo Center, right across the street!

FYI, SPD Tac 1, 2, and 3 are all in use right now for this.. Field Command on Tac 3 (seems to be the primary talkgroup) Traffic control on Tac 1. Havn't quite figured out exactly what tac 2 is being used for yet..

Did you see the camera in the shrubbery of the WFC? How about what looked a lot like a suitcase repeater up there as well?

Yeah, I was actually in the east side of the lobby near the security desk when I saw two late 20-ish guys dressed in loose fitting denim clothes (i.e. very non-descript) go up and identify themselves as being with the Seattle Police Department, and want to talk with building security. They were both carrying laptops with them. I didn't hang around long as I had to get back upstairs, but I sure thought that was interesting!

I've worked in WFC for 5 years now and have never seen that before. I've got to say, hats off to SPD for getting serious about getting a little more high tech!

You know, I've never looked for stuff in the building before! I'll try that one out, thanks for that!
If I come across anything else I'll let you know!

Last month, attended the APCO Radio Trade Show in Portland Oregon for Commercial Class Public Safety Applications. Great show and there was a company vendor showing a full scale truck with radio gear, mobile command centers. The trucks described are good for utilities, munis, public safety, fire, etc, during storms and emergency operations.
