I was listening to WSP on 154.935 then they told Mt Veron to go to Car 4

frequencies What is car 4?? frequencie Is something to do with aircraft?

Thats what I'm saying. Wenachee area is widly used on the West side, Snohomish, Skagit, Kitsap, and probably more, for C-C. Since the days of 154.845 simplex.
So a road unit requested comms to go to the C-C channel? Odd for WSP, nowdays with nextels and MCN.

My brother in law is a state trooper. They still use C-C all the time, and the mobile data computers are pretty much just in King County. I don't think they use nextel's at all.

The MCN computers are in almost all districts, but they don't always work as designed. Olympia troopers on c/c channel were discussing the down side of this. They still tell certain troopers to 'activate' their cell phones from time to time
