Does anyone monitor Airlift NW regularly? I was just curious if their frequency is only active during an emergency flight or is there regular radio traffic?

I have been for past couple of days (since the acquisition of a P25 VHF radio) and haven't heard anything -- until late last night.

Finally, at about 2am, I heard an exchange between a dispatcher and a pilot. They are pretty short with any communication. Aside from some numbers (case number i think)... I heard the pilot saying "...landing at Auburn airport"

Airlift NW is quite active right now. Sounds like some kind of MVC in Tacoma. Leaving Boeing Field right now.

Finally got the State Ops channels programmed into my BC346XT and was able to hear Airlift NW trying to call Harborview the other night. The pilot called out twice but I didn't hear any response. Hospital might have been on low power.

From what I've heard they try to use their VHF dispatch channel but consistently get very poor performance out of it so they'll switch and use MEDCOM-1 instead. Since it'll start on one channel and continue on the other, keep both of those up and you'll probably get both ends of the conversation most of the time.
