Just posted software files for Uniden and Butel.Scoured the web and copied some files(thanks to creators).Made up a profile covering Seattle,Tacoma,Sate Patrol,etc.Go here-http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BC246T/-If that doesn't work I'll email them if needed.

heck I could use the software for programming, does anyone have a programming software that no one is charging for? All I can find is BuTel charging 40.00. I have found free software for a BC780 but not for the 246T

try this group then you can go to files and get the freeware for the 246. it works pretty good.

rICK, i TRIED TO OPEN THE FILE SEC @ YAHOO, WITH NO LUCK if you could send your files,I've been on hold with uniden for a 1/2 hour now
Michael could you tell me ware you found your freeware for programming the 246t please.

If you go to that link,go to the file section.You will have to sign up to be a member of that group.The file name is "09242005".That is for both software programs.I like the Butel program best.There is a trial version,but it may not be fully functional. http://www.butel.nl/
